The greater proportion of women than men on college campuses may contribute to a hook-up culture where women are more willing to engage in casual sex and are more aggressive toward other desirable women who are perceived as rivals.
While the Disney animated film “Frozen” is most famous for its lovable characters and award-winning song “Let it Go,” the movie can teach us a thing or two about attachment styles in close relationships.
This holiday season give a friend, colleague, or student the gift of SPSP membership, giving them access to new research, reduced registration rates for our Annual Convention, and an online network of over 7,000 personality and social psychologists.
The EASP Summer School, organized every two years, provides an ideal educational opportunity to learn about theory, methodology, and research design in social psychology, while also honing communication and presentational skills. It also provides graduate students the chance to meet international graduate students and receive instruction and supervision from senior social psychologists drawn from Europe and the rest of the world. The 2016 EASP Summer School will be hosted at University of Exeter. SPSP will select five students from the US or Canada to attend and reimburse up to $750 in expenses. The application portal is open now, and will close February 15, 2016.
