Sign Up for a Student Mentoring Lunch

The mentoring luncheons offer graduate students an informal opportunity to discuss their research interests and career development with an established professional in the field. Many groups are full, but space is still available in several sessions, including:

  • Finding the Right Setting for You: Teaching at a Community College vs. a Four Year College
  • A Day in the Life of an Early Career Researcher
  • Distributed and Large-Scale Collaborations
  • Reproducible Research Practices and Workflow
  • Open Science With Existing Data
  • Developing and Writing a Teaching Philosophy

Space Still Available in Several Deep Dive Workshops

Take advantage of these longer, hands-on sessions that previous attendees have found valuable both in terms of their in-depth learning experience and their opportunities for networking. There is no additional fee to attend, but preregistration is required.

Don’t Miss SPlish SPlash – the Welcome Reception at Georgia Aquarium!

Mingle and network with your fellow students and other attendees at one of Atlanta’s most popular attractions. Tickets are $20 for students and include full admission to all galleries and exhibits, a drink ticket, and hors d’oeuvres. A special “students only” section will be available for fun and networking!
