Opening Networking Reception at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry

The Annual SPSP Convention is an opportunity for researchers from across the country to come together and share knowledge and ideas. For many, it is a great time to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, as well as make new connections with other researchers.

To kick off this year’s conference, please join us at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry on Thursday, February 7th at 7:30  for an Opening Network Reception! This event is a great opportunity to network, chat, and explore the museum’s engaging interactive exhibits. Hours D’ Oeuvres and drinks will also be available during the event.

Not sure about attending? Check out a testimonial from a first time SPSP attendee from last year’s conference!

“The opening night reception at the beautiful Georgia Aquarium was a great start to my SPSP experience! Not only was it a wonderful venue, but the close proximity to the conference and the hotel allowed me to actually make connections going back and forth from the hotel to, during, and after the reception. I think it provided a fantastic opportunity to both meet new people (as it was my first time attending) and gave me a chance to have a foundation to make longer lasting connections throughout the conference as well. It was a great event to have as a deciding point for meeting up with both intentionally from my previous institutions and accidentally, as I ended up running into someone I had met at another conference! Overall, it was a great time and I would definitely recommend going!”
