Diagnostic Checklist for Departments on Implementing Anti-Racist Practices and Reducing Racism in Mentorship Through Best Practices and Assessments
The SPSP Eliminating Racism in Workplaces and Communities Task Force developed several resources with the goal of advancing the field of personality and social psychology while providing mechanisms and tools for public use designed to help eliminate institutional racism. A diagnostic tool for departments and organizations has been created to assess progress toward fostering anti-racist and equitable outcomes. In addition, a variety of tools are now available to support students and faculty of color through mentorship. We will discuss the best practices learned, how to use the tools provided, introducing these tools in your departments and how to assess your own needs and skills.
