SPSP is excited to announce the results of its recent Student Committee election!

Congratulations to Tiffany Shao!

Tiffany Shao, a doctoral student at Claremont Graduate University, received the most votes and officially began her three-year term on the Student Committee on April 1.

  • Year 1 (2024): Tiffany will serve as Vice Chair, supporting the committee's leadership.
  • Year 2 (2025): She will be promoted to Co-Chair, sharing leadership responsibilities.
  • Year 3 (2026): Tiffany will transition to Past Chair, providing guidance to future leaders.

Tiffany's research explores how racial biases impact decisions within the criminal justice system. Her impressive background includes experience at leading research institutions and publications planned for peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she has served on psychology organization boards and contributed to student activities at SPSP's Annual Conventions.

Welcome Ellen Zheng as Social Media Chair!

Ellen Zheng headshotSPSP also extends a warm welcome to Ellen Zheng, a graduate student at Arizona State University, who will serve as the committee's Social Media Chair. Ellen brings diverse psychology expertise, including emotion regulation, mental health, and child development. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive online environment for SPSP student members.
